As Partner Director of Regulatory Governance in our Privacy, Safety and Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) organization, you will play an integral part in driving this mission, navigating us into the future of innovation, and building trust with our customers and regulators. In Regulatory Governance, our goal is to help create systems and processes for effective compliance and maintaining trust across the four core trust domains - cybersecurity, digital safety, privacy, and responsible AI. 

In this role you must lead large-scale operational processes across Microsoft’s engineering and business teams to implement, monitor, and report on how the company meets regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be a respected leader who can work across boundaries within the company to deliver a coherent Microsoft-wide approach to regulatory governance. This will include leveraging existing processes, infrastructure, and tooling, as well as partnering with engineering groups to improve them, including through using new technologies such as AI.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to Microsoft’s vision for a company-wide regulatory governance platform.  
  • Establish key performance indicators for the success of Microsoft’s regulatory governance platform. 
  • Ensure that the regulatory governance program generates actionable metrics on Microsoft’s compliance with regulatory requirements that can be provided to executives, regulators, and others. 
  • Represent Microsoft’s regulatory governance program with senior leaders internally and key stakeholders externally. 
  • Identify opportunities to use AI and other technologies to provide new value in our regulatory governance systems, and implement those technologies effectively.  
  • Use Microsofts productivity platforms to develop solutions for your team and for our partners in CELA and Engineering. 
  • Use judgment to determine when the conventions are to be followed, or, when the conventions are the problem!   

Qualifications

Key Experience/Qualifications:  

  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience that includes responsibility for operational success, management of effective teams, and
