Job Purpose:
The Facilities Team Member at TOYOTETSU TEXAS, INC., plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-organized environment, supporting the production teams, and contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and systems to ensure optimal functioning.
Assist in the setup and breakdown of manufacturing equipment and workspaces to accommodate production needs.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels of maintenance supplies and tools, placing orders as necessary to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to identify any potential safety hazards or maintenance issues, addressing them promptly.
Collaborate with the production and safety teams to implement and uphold safety protocols and procedures.
Provide support for facility improvement projects, including renovations and upgrades, to enhance operational efficiency.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner to minimize downtime and disruptions.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance and reporting purposes.
Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay updated on industry best practices and safety standards.
Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment by effectively communicating with colleagues and management.
QualificationsEducation:
Technical training or certification in facilities management or a related field is preferred.
Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education/training.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities management or a related role.
Proven experience in maintaining and repairing industrial equipment and infrastructure.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Basic computer skills.
Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions
