A Day in the Life

As the Facilities Supervisor at our Toledo Campus in Irvine, CA, you will lead a skilled team responsible for maintaining the building infrastructure that supports advanced manufacturing, cleanroom operations, and critical R&D functions. Your leadership will directly impact workplace safety, sustainability, compliance, and business continuity.

As Facilities Supervisor, you will: 

  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the facilities maintenance team, including technicians and contractors. 

  • Oversee building systems such as HVAC, clean utilities, compressed air, plumbing, electrical, and automation systems, ensuring optimal performance and regulatory compliance. 

  • Plan, prioritize, and assign preventive and corrective maintenance work using the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). 

  • Ensure safe work practices, adherence to EHS standards, and compliance with internal and external regulations (e.g., FDA, OSHA, GMP). 

  • Coordinate and communicate closely with cross-functional partners including Manufacturing, Quality, EHS, and Engineering. 

  • Support site readiness for audits and inspections; maintain documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs). 

  • Monitor and report on maintenance KPIs (e.g., downtime, PM completion, response time) and lead efforts to improve performance. 

  • Develop and mentor your team, promoting a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture. 

  • Assist in budget tracking, vendor management, and facility improvement initiatives. 

 

Must Have – Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 1+ year(s) of related experience  

 

Nice to Have - Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and team development skills. 

  • Working knowledge of commercial/industrial building systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical, clean utilities, plumbing). 

  • Experience in a regulated industry (medical device, biotech, pharmaceutical, aerospace, etc.). 

  • Familiarity with GMP, FDA, ISO standards, and cleanroom operations. 

  • Proficiency with CMMS platforms (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Blue Mountain RAM). 

  • Basic understanding of EHS practices, energy efficiency, and sustainability initiatives. 

  • Technical certifications (e.g., EPA 608, electrical or mechanical licenses) or project management training. 

  • Ability to analyze technical data, lead root cause analysis, and implement process improvements. 

  • Experience supporting DEI and culture-building initiatives.
