RTX Technology Research Center (RTRC) works with the business units of RTX Corporation (RTX) to develop new technologies and processes required to produce the most innovative products in the world. What You Will Do: 

We are seeking a self-directed and highly organized Project Manager to work on our facilities team. You will be engaged in projects involving both the physical facility and research projects on our 500,000 ft2 campus in East Hartford, CT.  You will be responsible for interpreting customer desires and technical requirements, sourcing viable and cost-effective solutions, providing detailed drawings and specifications for all trades, sourcing materials and labor to accomplish required tasks, contractor management, scheduling, and day-to-day problem solving and troubleshooting.  You will be representing the facilities engineering team to the customer, and reporting to the principal investigator (PI), executives, and other stakeholders frequently on project progress, risk, schedule, and budget. 

Qualifications You Must Have: 

  • University degree in Related field such as mechanical engineering, operations, project management and minimum 8 years experience or and advanced degree and minimum 5 years experience. 

  • Demonstrated ability in Project Management  through experience managing multiple projects simultaneously or a singular large project while being highly adaptable to changing priorities 

  • Knowledge of Codes and Standards applicable to subject of work (i.e. IPC, IBC, IMC, NFPA, B31.1, B31.3, OSHA, etc.) and the ability to read and interpret construction blueprints/drawings 

  • Knowledge of trades means and methods (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, automation, structural) with AutoCAD and Revit proficiency with the ability to lead, or add key knowledge and insight into Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, Program Risk Assessments, Process Hazard Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, EH&S Risk Assessments 

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
