The Opportunity
As the Facilities Coordinator - Real Estate & Facilities, you will have the opportunity to:
- Support the execution of real estate and workplace projects for our organization, primarily focusing on interior fit-outs for leased office spaces and projects at our corporate headquarters which includes space planning and construction coordination.
- Work closely with the Real Estate & Facilities Project Manager and other departments to ensure that projects are aligned with the Corporate Real Estate strategy, organization's objectives and support an optimized hybrid workplace that promotes the growth and development of our employee-owners.
- Support the evolution of our world headquarters and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the workplace experience and supporting strategic pillars of our talent, our clients, and our profitable growth.
The Team
Black & Veatch’s Business Enablement consists of critical groups that help enable the organizations people, projects, and businesses to be as successful as possible. Functions in this group include Digital & Information Technology, Global Finance, Global Human Resources, Legal, Risk Management, and Government Affairs and Real Estate and Building Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and execute interior workspace modifications, relocations, and expansions.
- Collaborate with office leaders, department heads, and employees to assess space needs and develop effective solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date records of office layouts, furniture inventory, and space utilization.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Support warehouse and furniture inventory management, including tracking inventory levels, organizing storage, and ensuring the availability of necessary materials and equipment for current and future projects.
- Manage furniture logistics, including scheduling deliveries, coordinating with the installation team, and ensuring timely arrival of furniture.
- Assist with furniture procurement as needed.
- Supervise interior project modifications and furniture installations, working with contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure proper placement and functionality.
- Provide support and guidance to employees during office moves and changes.
- Prepare and present reports on space utilization and project status to management.
- Ensure all office space activities comply with health and safety regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited university (Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design, Architecture or similar 4 or 5 year program)
- 5 years experience in the field of Space Planning
