This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change. 

Your Responsibilities

 

As a Project Engineer, Commercial Mowing for JD Turf Care - Fuquay located in Fuquay Varina, NC you will: 

 

• Leads a team of engineers by using a deep and broad understanding of technology to develop creative solutions that meet customer needs.
• Leads in the development of solutions to complex problems or projects by identifying and organizing necessary resources. Acts as technical advisor.
• Provides technical support to marketing, manufacturing, quality and supply management organizations.
• Leads in resolution of difficult technical issues across a product line whether within the company or with outside suppliers.
• Develops and maintains knowledge of industry and technical innovations in the technical discipline.
• Develops, tracks, and meets capital and expense budget for their department of responsibility.

What Skills You Need

 

  • Technical skill and knowledge in a specialized area of engineering, e.g., design, analysis, test, evaluation, etc. 
  • Skill in using company information systems and processes. 
  • Knowledge of the product development process and understanding the process of gathering customer needs.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles, theory and practice as well as product knowledge. 
  • Knowledge/familiarity with machines manufactured by competitors. 

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • 4 or more years of Technical experience relating to design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems. 
  • 4 or more years of Product engineering experience. 
  • 1 or more years of Product design experience. 
  • 1 or more years of Work experience in a specific area of Engineering specialization or expertise, e.g., hydraulic systems, electronic circuits, rigid body dynamics, power transmission, drive systems, etc. 
  • Fundamental understanding of machine forms relevant to the specific job assignment, Company division/unit and/or competitors.
  • Experience in performing complex engineering assignments. 
  • 4 or more years of Experience with engineering tools, systems and databases.

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Requires degree in an engineering discipline (ex. Mechanical, Agricultural, Mechatronics) or equivalent experience. - Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience minimum
