Job Description

As a Security Officer Checkpoint Driver in Freeport, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and contractors by following site-specific access procedures, visitor registration protocols, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Screen incoming guests, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site rules, document arrivals and departures, and report unusual activity or access concerns to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while communicating clearly with personnel, first responders, and Allied Universal management.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, exterior areas, and perimeter locations to identify security-related concerns, policy violations, and/or maintenance issues.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
