Position Summary The Operator, Digital Press is responsible for all aspects of operating the digital printing equipment to production and quality standards.
First Shift: 7:30AM-3:30PM   Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Operate digital print equipment and the software necessary for print operations.
• Acquire the ticket and review for specifications or special instructions that may impact the operation or setting-up the machine.
• Complete jobs according to customer specifications in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitor production output throughout the run for quality.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal printing conditions.
• Ensures materials for the job are in stock and available for production.
• Properly document production information to account for all labor and materials consumed on a job.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Properly execute pressroom Safety Procedures 
• Cleans up and keeps work area neat and orderly.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proficient in computer applications, including Mac and Windows operating systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous print industry experience.
• Experience using an ERP system.

Knowledge and Skills

• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to follow documented procedures.
• Ability to read and understand oral/written instructions proficiently.
• Ability to read and understand tape measure and other measuring equipment.
• Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions.
• Reliability through attendance, punctuality, and attention to workstation.
• Demonstrate a positive safety attitude.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent walking and standing.
• Manual dexterity for repetitive work.
• Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.
• Chemicals: Yes
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to visually inspect all work for defects and distinguish color.

The national pay range for this role is $18.00 to $32.00/hourly. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission, or incentive program.
