Primarily responsible for managing and evaluating all supply distribution functions for an assigned nonacute facility or facilities. Responsible for managing appropriate product channels, supply expense, distribution networks, shipping, receiving, and procurement of medical supplies of agiven non-acute facility/facilities and providing stewardship of contract compliance. Manager prepares and submits facility budget and ensures operations do not exceed budget. Additional responsibilitiesinclude training, coaching, and professionally developing subordinates and serving as the liaison between given non-acute facility/facilities and division supply chain leadership.
- Manages procurement patterns and channels to assure that supplies are readily available for patient care in a fiscally responsible manner.
- Works collaboratively with key stakeholders as necessary to coordinate contract implementation and product conversions.
- Works directly with contracting team, value analysis, project leads, senior leaders, department leads, buyers, and data analysts to ensure projects are supported and implemented.
- Oversees and monitors reports/metrics; prepares and implements project plans to ensure that operations do not exceed budget and financial/service level expectations are met.
- Ensures vendors are actively managed and provide a high level of service and accountability to nonacute facility teams.
- Provides oversight and guidance for all non-acute procurement and supply chain logistics functions.
Qualifications
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
- Sys/Div/Mkt/Local Manager – Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 3years leadership experience OR minimum of 5 years leadershipexperience in the discipline OR Master’s Degree and no experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Supply Chain within a health care facility system or other relevant experience.
- Established leadership skills.
- Knowledge of coaching and mentoring best practices.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Project, Access, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to influence and motivate others in order to achieve targets within a determined time period.
- Ability to prepare quick pointed summaries for executives and stakeholders.
- Ability to deal with conflict and difficult people.
- Knowledge of automated ERP systems and processes.
- Ability to process and present data clearly.
- Team management and/or project management preferred. ChangeManagement and Leadership (LEAD) experience required within firstyear. Incumbents in his job will be grandfathered into educationalrequirements, preferred.
