2. The role
Resident Assistants are the go-to support for students in residence, ensuring their well-being and creating a welcoming environment. You'll be available when needed and provide top-tier welfare support in your assigned residence.
You’ll also help build a positive community, encouraging good behavior and respect for the property. Keeping an eye on conduct, you’ll report any issues to management and help maintain a great atmosphere.
Plus, you’ll play a role in students’ language development—motivating, engaging, and helping them make friends.
3. Key responsibilities
Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of all students in our care
Monitor and supervise the student residence ensuring the proper safety, conduct and wellbeing of residents.
Manage students’ behavior at all relevant times, with a judicious awareness of the need to sanction or encourage as appropriate
Chasing and finding students who are missing from the programme to maintain high safeguarding standards
Supporting and caring for sick students in camp
Carefully monitor the host institutions’ property, ensuring it is well looked after and any damage reported and investigated
Prioritize the safety of students above all else, following our Safeguarding and Health and Safety Policy
Be friendly and approachable whilst developing professional, positive relationships with students that help to enhance their overall experience
Ensure any concerns, worries or questions students may have are dealt with sensitively
