About the role

The Director of Sales Force Effectiveness & Analytics is a senior leadership role responsible for driving data-driven decision-making and providing strategic direction for the analytics function within the organization. In this role you will report to the Head of Insights and Analytics for Specialty with supporting lines to the Sales VPs of the Specialty business unit.  This position involves managing a team of Field Business Managers, setting the analytics strategy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.  The role will enable greater alignment, effectiveness, and ultimately help drive sales across the different business units.

  • Analytics Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive sub-national analytics strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of Field Business Managers fostering a culture of enterprise excellence and continuous learning.
  • Data Governance: Enforce data governance and enterprise quality standards to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Data Analysis: Oversee the analysis of data to generate insights, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Reporting: Develop and maintain regular reporting and dashboards to track KPIs and communicate findings to senior leadership. 
  • Predictive Modeling: Drive the development of predictive and prescriptive models to enhance field force execution and optimization.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, such as marketing, finance, and operations, to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements.
  • Technology Stack: Stay current with data analytics technologies and tools and recommend their adoption as needed.
  • Budget Management: Manage the analytics department's budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ experience years in Sales, analytics or operations in  the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare Industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Previous experience in data analytics and leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills (either leading a team with direct reports, and/or significant enterprise/matrix leadership)
  • Experience advising senior leadership teams on commercial strategy and process improvement.
  • Experience leading transformational change across a matrix organization.
  • Ability to prioritize across short and long-term needs, recognize trade-offs and make necessary adjustments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage highly sensitive, confidential information in a thoughtful and compliant manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data insights into actionable business strategies.
