The Inventory Supply Manager  provides hands-on leadership of  Warehouse Supervisors, inventory professionals, and hourly team members in execution of storage and shipping functions. Collaborates and partners effectively with manufacturing, transportation, material planning, quality, and maintenance. Responsible for strategically managing the flow of all material ins, outs, and within the plant,  Manages inventory control of all on-site materials including: ingredients, packaging, work in progress, and final goods.

  • Managing and leading team ensuring safe and efficient material handling and warehousing
  • Ensuring all inventory is accurate and handled properly in SAP throughout the reconciliation process and month-end closing
  • Confirming production receipts and ensure finished goods and product put away from production
  • Maintain dock and storage facilities in an orderly and organized manner that encourages proper efficiency and inventory control
  • Ensure proper and safe loading and unloading of trailers
  • Partner with key cross-functional team members in on-going continuous improvement initiatives
  • Understand, demonstrate, and be a role model of Ferrara’s core values and operating principles
  • Lead, coach, and ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and safety standards

  • Exceptional analytical, root-cause-analysis, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office applications, SAP preferred or similar ERP systems
  • General knowledge of scanning systems, RF guns, and related technology
  • Team-building skills in motivating, encouraging, training, and guidance of team members
  • Being a safety champion, strong and proactive approach to safety and reinforcement
  • Exceptional organization and planning skills
  • Understanding of compliance standards (BRC, AIB, SQF, and others)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communicator not required but a plus

Experiences that will support your success

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or sufficient equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience and proven successes in warehouse and team leadership in a manufacturing or distribution center environment
  • Talents in collaborating with transportation, logistics, manufacturing, continuous improvement and related departments
  • Experience as a team leader including thoughtful coaching, mentoring, and evaluation of talent
  • Ability to inspire team members to the grow within the Ferrara structure, be a partner in support of diversity, equity, and inclusion
