The Senior Manager Accounting Operations will lead core accounting execution across general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and close operations in a global, multi-entity environment. Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, this role is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and well-controlled financial operations while managing both internal teams and outsourced partners. This position will be located in Englewood CO.

This position is a critical leadership role following a corporate carve-out and business transformation. The Senior Manager will drive standardization and efficiency across finance processes, while scaling operations to support growth. This role represents an expansion of scope for a high-performing internal leader stepping into broader global responsibilities.

Position Key Responsibilities:

Lead the execution of day-to-day accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, payroll coordination, and reconciliations

Manage the monthly close calendar and process, ensuring timely, accurate close across multiple entities and systems

Oversee the relationship with BPO/shared services providers (e.g. TCS), including SLA tracking, issue resolution, and performance reporting

Coordinate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Consolidation teams to support financial reporting and audit readiness

Support the integration and alignment of accounting operations across Jeppesen and ForeFlight

Partner with Finance Systems and IT teams to improve automation, workflows, and system controls

Document and maintain standard operating procedures for all transactional processes

Support internal and external audits, including providing reconciliations and transaction documentation

Track and report on operational KPIs (e.g., close days, invoice cycle time, AR aging, error rates)

Demonstrated leadership with the ability to develop and scale teams and processes

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 8+ years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or shared services
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting best practices
  • Demonstrated experience managing or working closely with AP, AR, GL, and payroll functions
  • Experience coordinating monthly close cycles across multiple business units or legal entities
  • Exposure to working with or managing outsourced/BPO partners
  • Strong system skills (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, BlackLine, or similar)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • CPA a plus, but not required

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary Pay Range: $ $164,900.00-$223,100.00
