This position is in Tempe, AZ. within the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) operating unit. At Medtronic, we bring bold ideas forward with speed and decisiveness to put patients first in everything we do. In-person exchanges are invaluable to our work. We are working on-site 4 days per week as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary. This role will require less than 10% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.
Day in the Life:
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Lead manufacturing testing solutions from concept to deployment
- Developing software and hardware solutions for custom ATE (Automated Test Equipment) systems
- Developing software applications using ATE (Automated Test Equipment) to test medical device electronics
- Designing, developing and debugging dedicated hardware and software, performing test verification and validation activities, performing Measurement Systems Analysis (Gage R&R studies); all in support of test solution release for production testing of medical grade electronics
- Utilizing software languages and environments preferably in LabView, Test Stand, C and C++ to support test application software development
- Troubleshooting yield and performance issues to root cause using statistics-based analyses and providing related technical solutions
- Following test application development procedures and demonstrate compliance through technical documentation generation
- Designing electrical schematics and understanding PCB layout requirements
- Proficient statistical analysis techniques
- Proficient project management skills
- Work with internal customers to understand their needs and use cases
- Contribute to the completion of specific programs and projects. Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources
- Frequent inter-organizational contacts. Represent the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects
- Ability to perform as a technical lead and mentor
Qualifications:
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field and minimum of 10 years of work experience OR advanced degree in engineering, business, or related field with 8 years of work experience.
