The Position:
FGS Global is seeking a full-time Director of Intranet Communications & Content to join our team. The position is responsible for the strategic planning, development, and execution of all content on the organization's intranet platform. This role ensures that the intranet serves as an effective communication and knowledge-sharing tool by providing current, accurate, and engaging content that supports FGS Global's organizational goals and enhances employee engagement and productivity.
The position is hybrid with an expectation of at least three days per week in the office, based in our New York City office. We are also open to candidates who would be based out of our Washington, DC office.
Responsibilities:
- Content Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive intranet content strategy that supports FGS Global’s goals and objectives.
- Identify content needs and opportunities to enhance the intranet's value to employees.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure content aligns with the overall digital workplace strategy.
- Content Creation and Management:
- Oversee the creation, curation, and management of all intranet content, including resources that support business development and information that ensures employees are well-informed about the firm’s value proposition, capabilities and perspective. These include the full range of articles, videos, documents, and other multimedia.
- Ensure content is up-to-date, accurate, and relevant to FGS Global employees.
- Develop and enforce content guidelines and standards to maintain consistency and quality.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with various departments and teams across the FGS Global platform to gather content requirements and feedback.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across FGS Global through the intranet content.
- Promote the use of the intranet as a primary communication and resource tool.
- User Engagement and Experience:
- Ensure intranet content is engaging, user-friendly, and meets the needs of all employees.
- Oversee the development and delivery of training programs and other related communication to educate employees on how to access and utilize intranet content effectively.
- Continuously gather user feedback and make necessary adjustments to improve content quality and user experience.
- Technology and Innovation:
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in intranet content management and digital workplaces.
- Evaluate and implement new content management tools and technologies to enhance the intranet's capabilities.
- Work with IT, creative, web development and other stakeholders to integrate intranet content with other enterprise systems.
- Analytics and Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze intranet content usage and performance metrics.
- Provide regular reports to senior leadership on content effectiveness and areas for improvement.
- Use data-driven insights to guide content strategy and decision-making.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing and developing digital content and editorial platforms preferably for intranets or similar digital workplace solutions.
- Strong understanding of content management systems, intranet technologies, and collaboration tools.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams, including direct and indirect reports.
