About the role

Position Description:  

 

Repairs, installs, and inspects electronics or electronic systems as directed through verbal or written directions, diagrams, drawings, or specifications. Maintains and makes necessary operating adjustments to the productions electronic systems. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

Below are examples of the type of duties you could be responsible for:  

 

  • Read and modify detailed engineering drawings and prints to adjust, test and repair equipment. 
  • Responsible for entering data in SAP PM (Plant maintenance) 
  • Program and troubleshoot PLC, robotics and vision systems.  
  • Troubleshoot automation manufacturing equipment. 
  • Troubleshoot pneumatic systems and servo drives. 
  • Interface with suppliers for maintenance parts  
  • Understand and apply engineering specifications, Change Orders, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). 
  • Ability to work on projects both individually and with a cross-functional team. 
  • Follow safety policies and practices while maintaining Wabash’s Leadership Principles and Values. 
  • The Electronics Controls Engineer Maintenance Technician I position is expected to work full shifts, which may be 8, 10, or 12 hours per day, depending on the plant’s needs. 
  • Work schedule includes mandatory overtime and weekends. 
  • Support daily production requirements. 
  • Support engineering project related activities 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

  • 3 to 5 years of Electrical Maintenance experience preferred 
  • Good Mechanical aptitude 
  • Basic component and assembly process knowle
