Function & Responsibilities 
The Treasury Manager primary responsibility is to assist the Group Treasurer in managing the financing activities of the Group as well as to overlook daily treasury operations. This involves monitoring the treasury activities of the regulated and non-regulated entities within the Elia Group and its major affiliates, while ensuring strict adherence to the Group's treasury policies.

The role will mainly involve:

• Capital Structure Management:
• Support Group Treasurer in funding roadmap decisions and its execution
• Actively collaborate to debt raising projects and maintain existing programmes (RCF, commercial paper,…) and frameworks, including Elia’s Green Finance Framework and Green Bond reporting
• Perform market intelligence on potential new markets and products (clean energy transition funds, project financing, ECA-backed financing, leasing,…)
• Risk Management:
• Identify and mitigate financial risks, including currency, interest rate and counterparty risks
• Monitor and manage compliance with financial covenants and regulatory requirements
• Support the daily treasury operations and monitor the cash flow forecasting ensuring sufficient liquidity to support ongoing operations and growth initiatives
• Monitor the treasury activities of Elia Transmission Belgium and other affiliates of Elia Group and their compliance with Group Treasury policy
• Actively coordinate and maintain relationships with various stakeholders (Banks, rating agencies,…)     and with other departments (Investor Relations, Sustainability, Risk Management,…)
• Overlook technology projects such as Hypercare for SAP implementation, SAC implementation, SWIFT rollout, back up bank connectivity solution and others
• As a Treasury Manager, you will be based in Brussels as part of the Capital Markets department which consists of colleagues of Treasury and Investor Relations. You will report to Group Treasurer.

Your Profile

 

Who we are looking for:

• Experience in Corporate Treasury / cash management and sound understanding of financial instruments is a must
• Knowledge of non standard financial instruments (e.g., project financing, ECA financing ,..) is a plus
• Are well-structured & decisive and possess excellent analytical, synthesizing and organizational skills; project management skills seen as strong asset; 
• Hedging experience 
• Prior experience with TMS/ERP, preferably SAP
• Technology savvy – MS Excel is a must
• Have the ability to successfully operate in various cultures; have working experience with multi-cultural teams and passionate about diversity 
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in French, Dutch, and English. 
• High standard of ethics and professionalism
• Results-oriented
