This position is a hybrid role, 8AM-5PM, in office Mondays and Wednesdays and remote the other days. 

The Senior Financial Analyst plays an important role in the month-end financial close and reporting related to investments, debt, and cash operations for IU Health. The Treasury Accounting team supports the IUH Investments, Capital Markets, and Treasury Operations teams.  This individual must possess great attention to detail, strong financial acumen, and a high aptitude for leveraging technology and financial systems, a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and 3-5 years of experience. 

Essential Functions

  • Perform financial analysis related to IUH’s investments and debt portfolios
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly and quarterly investment and debt journal entries with supporting schedules 
  • Ability to analyze control processes and identify gaps
  • Develop new control processes to address control gaps
  • Periodically review and ensure compliance with established controls
  • Assist in the preparation of year end audit schedules 
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with members of various departments
  • Collaborate with team to ensure consistency of information, share best practices and develop systems knowledge
  • Other projects and tasks may be added at manager’s discretion

Supports prudent financial management through data analysis, interpretation, reporting, and modeling. Performs monthly and/or ad hoc reporting, prepares pro formas  based on historical, comparative, and projection data.  Provides accurate analysis to support outcome and impact based decision making.  Identifies, analyzes and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets with a high degree of accuracy.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
•Requires 2+ years of relevant financial and operational analysis experience.
• Requires analytical experience working with complex data sets.
• Requires proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products/applications; strong Microsoft Excel experience required; relational database and financial or operational modeling experience a plus.
