Four (4) years of experience in computer science, information technology, engineering or related field is required. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or related field, OR an associate degree in computer science Information technology, engineering or related field and two (2) years of the required experience may be used as an alternative for the required years of experience.

 

Additional requirements:

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Microsoft Windows System Administrator.
• Proficiency in English language.

 

This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.

 

This position may be required to occasionally perform duties other than those listed on the position description.

 

Salary Range: $70,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually.

 

Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of Windows Server operating systems.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Microsoft 365.
• Knowledge of server virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere  and Hyper-V.
• Knowledge of best practices related to IT security.
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCPIP, UDP, VPNs, VLANs.
• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
• Knowledge of Backup and Recovery tools such as Commvault or Veeam.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Ability to pay attention to detail and proactively manage systems.
• Ability to write procedures, guidelines, and user guides.
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.       

 

OTHER KSAs (Incumbent may learn on job):

• Knowledge of load balancers and application delivery controller technology.
• Knowledge of Enterprise-scale secure FTP/SFTP server platforms.
