Job Description
Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Construction Scheduler to join our Data Center team and support the successful delivery of complex data center construction projects across the United States. Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. and be based within the United States. This role will contribute to the planning, scheduling, and execution of mission-critical facilities, including new builds, expansions, and retrofit work.
The Senior Scheduler will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, project teams, contractors, and clients to develop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in scheduling best practices, project controls, schedule risk analysis, and resource planning, along with the ability to communicate effectively in a client-facing environment.
This individual will play a key role in driving schedule performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and supporting successful project outcomes across multiple projects and program phases. The Senior Scheduler will be responsible for delivering high-quality scheduling services and serving as a trusted advisor to project teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to project sites as needed to support project delivery and schedule management activities.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, project managers, design teams, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze detailed project and program schedules using Primavera P6 within a multi-project environment.
- Integrate schedule information from engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and construction teams into master program schedules.
- Support implementation of project planning and scheduling standards, processes, and best practices across data center construction programs.
- Partner with project and construction teams to maintain schedule integrity and ensure alignment with project objectives and milestones.
- Monitor schedule performance, progress updates, and forecasting to identify potential delays, constraints, and recovery opportunities.
- Coordinate and consolidate multiple sources of schedule data into integrated reporting platforms and program-level dashboards.
- Prepare and deliver project status reports, schedule narratives, and executive-level presentations for internal and client stakeholders.
- Generate and maintain milestone schedules and short-term look-ahead schedules to support project execution and decision-making.
- Perform schedule risk assessments, critical path analysis, and what-if scenario modeling to evaluate project impacts.
- Analyze schedule variances against baseline plans and provide recommendations for corrective actions and recovery strategies.
- Evaluate schedule impacts related to scope changes, design revisions, procurement activities, and change orders.
- Facilitate schedule review meetings and work closely with project teams to proactively resolve scheduling challenges.
- Support project controls reporting and governance requirements, including compliance with applicable company and client standards.
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications
- Experience working in mission critical environments is preferred including commissioning activities.
- Construction experience- i.e. “boots on the ground.” This is site-level construction experience who knows the construction process.
- Understanding of best practice relating to the delivery of a construction program is required.
