Content Manager - Team Lead (English Native)

Location: Barcelona,Catalunya,Spain
As Content Manager - Team Lead the employee reports directly to the Content Service Manager.
Main responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Managing and monitoring the progress of linguistic projects
Ensuring content quality across a wide range of styles, terminologies, and formats
Balancing project budgets, negotiating deadlines, and ensuring overall profitability
Collaborating closely with subsidiaries in target markets and with internal teams
Ensuring all content aligns with the client’s desired tone, style, and brand identity
Briefing and coordinating with freelance writers, translators, editors, proofreaders, and reviewers
Handling all tasks related to linguistic project coordination
Supervise, guide, and develop team members by setting clear objectives, monitoring performance, fostering collaboration, and supporting individual professional growth
Requirements:
Proven experience (5–7+ years) in translation project management or a related role within the language services or digital/tech industry
Bachelor’s degree in Languages, Communication, Translation, Business Administration, International Business, or a related field
Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams.
Proficiency in project management tools (Airtable, Jira, Confluence, Trello, or similar).
Strong knowledge of CAT tools and translation technologies (e.g., Trados, MemoQ, Wordfast, etc.); familiarity with AI and automation platforms is an asset
Client-oriented mindset with demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
Demonstrated experience leading and developing a teams
Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.
Bonus:
Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies (QA, LQA) and process improvement frameworks (Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.)
Certifications in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile)
