AI Labs in the Garage is Capital One's innovation engine, where we build the future of finance, powered by AI. It is a cross-disciplinary team of builders focused on the next generation of customer experiences in financial services. Our team tackles undefined problems, rapidly testing hypotheses and scaling frontier AI breakthroughs that directly impact our customers and the industry. 

About the Role

Your mission is to identify, validate, and launch AI-powered products that deliver step-function value to customers. You will translate research breakthroughs into viable products by deeply understanding the customer problem space and creating evaluations that blend quantitative metrics with the product sense needed to judge the quality, usability, and performance of generative AI experiences. You will lead high-performing, cross-functional teams of AI researchers, engineers, designers and communicate with extreme clarity to senior leaders.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience working in Product Management

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date: 

    • A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)

    • A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products

  • Built new products from the ground up in a "zero-to-one," agile environment.

  • Shipped products powered by LLMs, deep learning, or other foundation models from concept to launch.

  • Understand the end-to-end machine learning lifecycle (data collection to model deployment).

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
