14About the Role: S&P Global Ratings is seeking a senior analytical leader and an exceptional professional with strong talent development, analytical, and communication skills to join the Americas Public Finance Team. As an Analytical Manager, you will lead a national team of nearly 15 analysts in the Local Government Central sector, with presence in all our offices.
The Team: You will report to the Head of Public Finance, the Americas and will work collaboratively with a team of 14 Analytical Managers and 10 Sector Leaders in Americas Public Finance, as well as with the Chief Analytical Officer for Governments, and the Head of Sovereigns. You will also have an opportunity to collaborate with other leaders throughout the Ratings practices.

Responsibilities:
Lead Analytical Excellence for the Housing team by supporting forward-looking analysis that provides the relevant and timely information to investors to help in their credit decisions, with a view to maintain best-in-class ratings performance.
Ensure that our communication to issuers, investors, and the media is clear, precise, and transparent in telling a credit story within the boundaries of our policies such as Conflicts of Interest.
Oversee the team's overall credit ratings process by maintaining close vigilance on analytics and publishing quality and managing resource allocation to optimize service delivery to the markets.
Responsible for having effective rating committees through chairing committees and reviewing published research. Utilizing input from Credit Conditions Committee (CCC), and AOCC in rating committees and published research on a consistent basis.
Ensure the quality and timeliness of the team's ratings according to the set business procedures and in compliance with relevant analytical criteria and S&P Global Ratings policies and procedures.
Ensure alignment with the other Local Government teams and collaboration with the Government Sector leaders.
Foster strong relationships and a positive environment that supports a robust analytic atmosphere.
Ensure a positive compliance culture within the team, including by leading by example.
Develop a culture of service excellence in the team by focusing members on sector expertise, constructive and predictable communication with issuers, analytical continuity, and flawless execution.
Develop analysts and increase employee engagement, focus on career development, and develop and implement training in line with our talent strategy.
Promote a culture of innovation and digital and technological awareness, embracing the analytic mindset and focusing on emerging risks.
With Lead Analysts and Sector Leaders, undertake and coordinate market outreach initiatives with various market constituents (issuers, investors, intermediaries, and professional associations) in the context of our strategic objectives and policies.

All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates:) S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $224,000 USD to $270,000 USD. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications.
What We’re Looking For
Basic Required Qualifications:
An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a related asset class.
Leader with extensive demonstrated successes in analytical excellence and can assert analytical independence and objectivity.
