Job Description

Intern – Finance Intern – San Diego, CA – Summer 2024

Are you interested in an Internship opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree to participate in 3 month paid intern opportunities at our site in San Diego, CA. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company.

Your role:

• Will involve hands-on experience addressing real world challenges that face the Philips IGT Devices Coronary business as it pertains to Finance.  This includes familiarizing yourself with financial reporting and analytics and leveraging those skills to reveal business insights and drive meaningful change.
• Will report to the Coronary Finance Business Partner. You would gain exposure to the broader Philips Finance organization in addition to Coronary functional leads.
• An excellent opportunity for a candidate pursuing a career in Finance, Data Analytics, or General Management.

You're the right fit if:

• You are pursuing a Finance or related degree and are interested in applying this to real-world scenarios.
• Your skills should include excellent problem-solving, communication, and team-working skills. Additionally, you should have a basic understanding of Financial terminology along with proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Enrolled in an accredited college and/or demonstrate comparable prior work experience.
• You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this Office/Remote position.

Philips Transparency Details

The hourly pay range for this position is $23.00 to $26.00, plus overtime eligible.  The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. 

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.  Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.  Details about our benefits can be found here. 

At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position.  For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to San Diego.
