Job Summary

The Laboratory’s Lead Phlebotomist provides daily support to laboratory and other 
healthcare staff related to sample collection and its related facets such as ordering, processing and data entry. 
The incumbent will provide support and direction to support the Laboratory’s policies, procedures and 
processes. The Lead phlebotomist will provide troubleshooting and resolution to issues that may arise within 
the population served. The incumbent will always maintain patient confidentiality and will ensure a safe 
process environment for the staff and the population served. The incumbent will be able to work independently 
and have the training and experience to make sound and timely decisions. The incumbent will be able to work 
as a positive team member and will promote the department in a positive fashion. This position may support 
our Medical Oncology departments which are located off campus from the BH La Grange hospital.

Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required

Two years of experience required

National phlebotomy certificate preferred

Valid driver's license required
