Who We Are

Huntington Ingalls Industries, (HII) - Mission Technologies seeks a dynamic and experienced Strategy and Governance Consultant and Technical Writer to support a high-impact federal civilian agency. This hybrid role is ideal for a professional with a firm understanding and experience with cybersecurity, supply chain risk management and cyber supply chain risk management/ third party risk management. The Consultant will provide pivotal aid in the progression of the maturity of CMS’ Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) program, through various strategy and governance/policy related initiatives.  The position is crucial towards the enhancement of organizational resilience and maturation, and directly aids in national priorities such as cybersecurity, health systems and supply chain risk management.

What You Will Do

Assists with writing, reviewing, and editing of documents, one-pagers, reports, briefings and policies, including:

  • Developing, writing, and editing technical, strategic and policy documents
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts to gather and verify information
  • Ensuring documents are clear, concise, and accessible to the intended audience
  • Maintaining and updating existing documentation and policies
  • Conducting research to stay current with industry standards and regulations
  • Creating user manuals, guides, and tutorials for various applications
  • Organizing and managing documentation projects to meet deadlines
  • Communicating, collaborating, and coordinating with team members and CMS DSI Teams as needed
  • Reviewing and maintaining CMS DSI SCRM SharePoint library for official work products

What We Are Looking For

  • 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Communications, English, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience with Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM)
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships
  • U.S. Citizen with Secret clearance

Preferred: Bonus Points For...

  • Experience supporting Federal agencies and or divisions such as HHS, CMS, DHS, DoD
  • Professional certifications and willingness to pursue additional certifications
