<h3><strong>Join Collibra’s Engineering Team as a Senior Software Engineer (backend)</strong></h3>

<h3><strong>Senior Backend Engineers at Collibra are responsible for</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Playing a pivotal role in establishing, defining, scoping and scaling the engineering / team roadmap and priorities.</li>
<li>Developing high quality code, including participating in testing and maintenance of that code</li>
<li>Applying pragmatic engineering approaches to deliver value to customers.</li>
<li>Collaborating across a variety of partnerships internally - e.g. Product Management, Design, Architecture, Operations, QA, UX and other Engineers - to help estimate work, design scalable and performant solutions that will delight our customers, and produce high quality production-grade software.</li>
<li>Being seen as a lead engineer who focuses and aligns on the team objectives.</li>
<li>Following agile process (Scrum) to make sure your deliverables are visible for the entire team and company stakeholders.</li>
<li>Mentoring other Engineers, leveraging your experience and knowledge.</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>You have</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Professional expertise in scaling Java applications.</li>
<li>Experience with either Spring or Spring Boot, with demonstrable understanding of best practices and function.</li>
<li>Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (preferably PostgresQL) and ability to demonstrate real-world interactions in the role of a backend engineer. </li>
<li>Experience partnering - or leading - through architectural design translation to development.</li>
<li>Work experience in building and designing SaaS software for deployment to the Cloud.</li>
<li>Knowledge of OO principles, Design Patterns, functional programming and clean code principles.</li>
<li>Experience with Agile process (Scrum) in developing and delivering software.</li>
<li>Experience mentoring other engineers and being the lead engineer of projects in your career.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively in English - we’re a global team and English is the most spoken language.</li>
<li>A bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience is required.</li>
</ul>

<h3><strong>Reporting to Collibra’s Director of Engineering, Senior Backend Engineer’s measures of success are</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Within your first month, you will get familiar with the environment we use, the way we implement software as an organization, simple business use cases and submit code to production.</li>
<li>Within your third month, you will implement new user stories with quality and care, and understand what value they will bring to our customers. </li>
<li>Within your sixth month, you will be a productive member of the Workflow team, reliably delivering quality code, participating in testing and on your way to many interesting challenges and growth opportunities.</li>
