***FINANCIAL ANALYST***

Remote Canadian Role

 

This is an exciting role to consider! Your primary purpose will be to reconcile our corporate accounting systems.  You’ll also routinely assist team members with various financial projects and tasks.  As a result, you’ll be involved in numerous diverse financial processes across the business with unique sets of challenges. RESPONSIBILITIES 

The purpose of this role is to reconcile our corporate accounting systems and assist team members w/ various financial projects and tasks. 

• Consolidate and ensure accuracy of our monthly financial statements. Transfer Altera Oracle accounting info into our Great Plains accounting system and from there into our consolidation tool.
• Assist in preparation of monthly reporting and quarter-end disclosure statements.
• Serve as key support to various finance teams on an ongoing basis. 
• Communicate effectively and proactively with internal stakeholders to ensure accounting data is presented logically and consistently.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in accounting, or equivalent years of experience.

Experience

• 2-4 years accounting experience to include knowledge of finance and accounting practices/principles, financial analysis, and reporting. Able to apply finance knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
• Experience with foreign currency exchange transactions preferred.
• Experience in roles where a constant state of learning was required – a quick study!
• Experience with financial reporting systems preferred.
• Problem solver, detail-oriented with strong analytical skills; Able to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
• Advanced Excel skills. Experienced with large data sets, pivot tables, data cleansing and formula building.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and presentation skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively.

WORK ARRANGEMENTS

• Remote Canadian role.
• May require occasional after-hours support.
• On-call and after hours work during peak times including end of month/quarter/year. During this time PTO may be limited to meet business needs.
