Purpose

Texas Global seeks a methodical and detail-oriented individual who enjoys working with data and can quickly learn department protocol. This position will focus on the evaluation of current methodologies to improve processes that gather, prepare, transform, maintain, analyze, interpret, and report on large amounts of data generated by Texas Global. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate intent to remain in the role for a minimum of one year.

Responsibilities

  • Data Management & Documentation: Collect, clean, prepare, and document data from various institutional sources; propose and document new protocols.

  • Analysis & Reporting: Analyze data, generate reports with recommendations, and create clear documentation for data requests and reports.

  • Collaboration & Special Projects: Work with Texas Global units, assist with data requests for leadership, develop data collection schedules, and maintain Tableau dashboards.

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s in social sciences, information sciences, statistics, data analytics or related field.

1-2+ years of data analysis experience with complex datasets.

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SQL, R, Python and Tableau.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in higher education administration.

Professional data-related internships or project experience.

Salary Range
$20.00/hour

Working Conditions

The individual will work in a standard office environment on-site at the Texas Global office of The University of Texas at Austin.
