Job Description
At U.S. Bank, we’re committed to powering the future of payments. This role sits within the Payments Merchant & Institutional (PMI) Chief Administrative Office (CAO) and plays a meaningful role in advancing Payments Transformation, a CEO‑sponsored enterprise priority.
We’re looking for a strategic, delivery‑focused Project Manager who thrives at the intersection of strategy, execution, and change. This senior individual contributor will lead complex, cross‑PMI initiatives that shape how work gets done across Merchant, Corporate, and Treasury Services, helping build a more connected, consistent culture while delivering measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead medium to large, complex transformation initiatives across multiple PMI lines of business
- Partner with senior leaders to align project scope and execution to Payments Transformation objectives
- Facilitate cross‑PMI collaboration and decision‑making among diverse stakeholders
- Develop and manage integrated project plans, including timelines, risks, issues, and dependencies
- Drive the people side of change, including readiness, adoption, and reinforcement strategies
- Prepare and deliver concise, executive‑level updates, insights, and recommendations
- Track outcomes and adoption to ensure initiatives deliver intended business value
- Contribute to establishing shared PMI ways of working and a strong, unified culture
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Advanced experience managing complex, cross‑functional projects and/or transformation initiatives
- Proven ability to influence without formal authority
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Copilot)
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience supporting enterprise or portfolio‑level transformation initiatives in large, matrixed organizations
- Experience with organizational change management practices (PROSCI or similar certification a plus)
- Project management and/or Agile certification preferred
- Financial Services and/or Payments industry experience
- Experience providing people or team leadership
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
