NA Customer Quality & Specifications Specialist

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Communicates effectively with internal stakeholders, external customers, and other departments about various aspects of customer quality.
• Complete and review finished products specifications for McCormick brands, Industrial, Quick Service Restaurants, Private Label and Retails customers
• Create and manage raw material, semi-finished, finished products and packaging microbiological, sensory, chemical, and physical inspection plans for McCormick manufacturing plants in Canada and USA
• Approval of the workflows in Lotus Notes related with the new products, raw materials, and changes in existing formulas
• Manages medium size Projects and Customer accounts.
• Act as a primary point of contact in relation to technical / quality assurance related queries for external customers as per account.

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

 

• Food Technology Diploma or related qualification
• Fluent English is required
• Previous experience in the food industry (e.g. Quality assurance, technical, R&D, customer services) would be an asset
• Knowledge of quality systems preferable e.g. ISO, BRC, EFSIS
• Computer literacy (specifically Excel, SAP)
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Organized, methodical, good attention to detail
• Able to prioritize and manage time effectively, with a high sense of urgency
• Willing to work in rotating shifts (morning / afternoon)
