We are currently looking for an Applications Lab Intern at our New York, NY office.  

 

The 2025 dsm-firmenich Summer Internship Program will begin June 9th, 2025 and run through August 14, 2025 

 

Our standard working hours are Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week) 

 

The Fine Fragrance Applications Lab in NYC is a high-paced environment located at the heart of the perfumery world. The perfumers and their assistants create magic (aka fragrance oils) and the apps lab applies those oils into whatever form (EDP/EDT, lotion, gel, etc.) is desired by the client.

Your key responsibilities

• Prepare fragranced applications samples for clients using the CLASS sampling system.
• Manage sample timing and coordinate with requestors.
• Maintain stock control of client bases.
• Making/managing all large sample orders.
• Managing/delegation of help needed for large sample order.
• Returning & maintaining stock of compounded oils.

You bring

• Currently working on completion of a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field of study preferred but not required 
• Candidates must be available to work full-time beginning on June 9, 2025 – August 14, 2025 
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.
• Attention to deadlines a must.
• Computer skills required (MS Office, Outlook). Proven ability to learn new programs quickly.
• Excellent math skills, including an ability to calculate percentages.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks, problem solving, and troubleshooting when necessary.
