The Enterprise Architect Leader will collaborate with the IT team to drive IT-focused strategy. This individual will work with IT and business stakeholders to align key technology strategies and approaches with core business priorities. They will lead IT governance, establish technology standards, and oversee the ongoing transformation of IT systems to reduce complexity, decrease costs, and enhance the effectiveness of IT systems. They will collaborate with multiple IT departments to align expectations around non-functional standards (Security, Scalability, Performance, etc.) and ensure these standards are incorporated into all global technology work products.

Job Responsibilities

Vision and Strategy:

• Establish, evangelize and maintain a technology vision for Alight’s solutions and services.
• Develop and maintain our architecture principles, paved paths and reference architectures based on our overarching organizational goals & strategy
• Represent Alight technology and application architectures in discussions with clients, third party partners, and vendors on an as-needed basis.

People:

• Management of enterprise architecture staff (10-20) including performance, career, engagement and growth objectives
• Promote EA team cohesion, harmony and focus on goals
• Define and support skills map needed for global technology learning and development goals.
• Plan for, manage, and monitor Enterprise Architecture budget and financial forecast.

Guidance and Governance

• Maintain, Improve and execute our enterprise architecture governance process
• Review and assist where required our teams and line architects in their local architecture strategy and roadmap to ensure they align and are cohesive when they come together
• Maintain our architecture repository at the enterprise level and ensure consolidation & accuracy at the detail level of various team’s architecture artefacts
• Key decision maker on technical architecture, breaking ties and evaluating solutions
• Accountable for technical assurance of in house solutions and the solutions and services from outsourced suppliers and contractors.

Solutions & Design

• Mange the adoption and maintain a backlog of debt & non-compliance across our teams and line architect for the various activities above
• Sponsors efforts to improve Alight’s technology solutions, reducing technical debt, cost and complexity.
• Drive efficient, secure, and innovative solutions using the best-fit infrastructure and applications to support the needs of the organization and our customers.
• Participate with the rest of the team in documenting current and future system state, actively promoting information-sharing generally.
• Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies and processes to ensure the highest quality and most cost-effective product platform.

Innovation & Delivery

• Support large programs of work to identify broad stroke enterprise architecture impact and effort
• Responsible for driving solutions with the business and developing technical strategy to help them attain their goals
• Extensive experience in agile delivery management, resource and capacity management, and utilizing onshore and offshore teams.
