We are looking for a Digital Designer to work closely with our Audience Relationship Team, vertical design teams, and brand stakeholders to develop best-in-class engagement experiences that convert users and help brands meet (and exceed) performance benchmarks. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to create strong visual designs that support our Digital content strategy and engage and delight our audiences.
As a Digital Designer, you will be responsible for doing competitive research, designing the look and feel of various brand elements, and refining and iterating on those ideas for various stakeholders.

Assignment Responsibilities:
- Help maintain cohesive expressions of visual identities for brands across the DDM portfolio.
- Take ownership of assigned design projects, collaborate with stakeholders and other designers, take direction from brand and team leaders, and follow established processes to ensure smooth delivery of creative assets.
- Concept and produce designs (both layouts and creative visuals) for email newsletters, polls, quizzes, and other branded experiences.
- Create digital production art including illustrations, photo treatments, and other visual assets as needed.
- Collaborate with the Product/UX and Brand Design teams on a regular basis.

- Use requirements and stakeholder feedback to produce design assets such as branded email layouts, polls, quizzes and other interactive content as needed.
- Attend meetings with stakeholders from the Design Ops, Audience Relationship, and brand/vertical teams.
- Attend Recurring Design Team meetings and other group functions.
- Present design solutions and help build consensus among a broad range of stakeholders.
- Participate in brainstorming and critique sessions that foster big-picture thinking while identifying opportunities to raise the bar on the details.
- Keep project management tickets up to date, communicate progress, keep files organized, follow Slack channels, and meet deadlines.

- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent education and experience
- 1-3 years as a designer
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong typography skills
- Strong editorial layout and composition design skills
- Illustration skills, including the ability to draw in multiple styles a plus
- Motion design/animation skills a plus
- Publishing industry experience a plus
- Self-motivated
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- A team player ready to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Figma a plus but not essential
