About the role

• Works under a documentation manager who will oversee documentation projects.
• Create documentation plans to define the scope and timelines for all documentation projects.
• Gather, analyzes, and composes information provided by subject matter experts (SMEs).
• Translate partner information into clear, readable documents that reflect a high standard of quality.
• Provide an overarching view of the technology for internal and external audiences.
• Participate in reciprocal review cycles
• Manage formatting, editing, and quality assurance on own work and the work of others.
• Ensure documents are technically and mechanically accurate, and consistent with regard to clarity, flow, organization, completeness, and readability.

We are considering applicants for the location(s) of US-Remote. 

About You

Searching for a content-focused senior technical writer with excellent Atlassian Confluence and technical documentation skills to join a growing team of passionate technical writers. You are also extremely well-versed in single-sourcing methodologies and can identify opportunities for content reuse throughout the documentation process. 

You will document internal processes and public-facing overview guides, runbooks, user guides, test systems, templates, and other types of documentation for both front-end and backend functionality. 

You are also an enthusiastic Confluence Advocate and administrator who can help our product and engineering teams make the most out of their Atlassian tools. You will collaborate with Engineering, Product, and other team members to create high-quality documentation.

• 5+ years’ experience in technical writing focused on delivering complete, end-to-end documentation for complex products.
• Experience writing for both hardware and software products.
• Experience describing large-scale workflows and sequence diagrams.
• Communication and collaborative skills, in writing and verbally, whether in small group discussions, large-scale presentations, or with executives.
• Experience working across multiple time zones.
• Enthusiastic about constructive, reciprocal, feedback and review cycles.
• Familiar with modern information architecture theory.
• Experience with working with MS Manual of Style and can adhere to explicit style guide best practices.

About the Team

The Technical Documentation team sits in the heart of the engineering web. Every day, we work with engineers, product owners, and QA to create detailed documentation that educates, thrills, and enhances our Knowledge Sharing culture. We support front and back-end teams across multiple offices in multiple countries, all in the name of supporting the highest quality anime video streaming services.

The Partnerships technical writer works with our dedicated, partnerships team to create documentation that educates our engineering teams and provides guides for our external partners.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
