Job Description

It’s an exciting opportunity to join Galderma as Product Research Lead.

The role reports to the Global Head of Product Research.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, assess and drive forward key innovation opportunities. Lead the development of innovation strategy and pipeline by platform, leveraging consumer, technological and scientific insights, competitor watch, and integrating markets insights
• Participate to due diligence on licensing and business development opportunities when applicable
• Partner with global marketing and regions at ideation stage to make competitive assessments and develop the innovation briefs
• At feasibility and development stages, drive the scientific concepts, technologies, ingredients and claims strategy at project level by collaborating with all the R&D functions, procurement, operations and marketing
• Oversight the development and implementation of the platforms’ innovation plan (formulae, forms, packaging, clinical plan, claims etc.) - Ensure that all relevant technical deliverables are successfully met
• Support the marketing and medical teams for the scientific communication (claims, communication supports, HCP's toolkits, videos, trainings to lead markets.)
• Represent R&D team at platform and projects level for stage gate governance in the Brand Committee and Portfolio Committee meetings

Skills & Qualifications

•  More than 5 years’ experience within cosmetics or OTC skincare franchise and products development in an international company (having formulation or products research experience will be preferred).
• Proven track record of designing, developing and launching innovative cosmetics or OTC products in a FMCG/FMCH international company
• Good understanding of the cosmetic environment, Strong consumer mindset, Solid technical formulation skills
• Ability to work within multi-functional teams, capacity to manage projects and coordinate teams in complex environments, capacity to challenge and influence
• Excellent oral and written communication skills at all levels within the organization, strong technical writing capability
