Production Support Maintenance Manager

A. PURPOSE OF POSITION
Direct Wolf Manufacturing, Equipment Engineering and Maintenance Operations.    The incumbent is responsible for achieving strategic and tactical objectives for all Manufacturing, Equipment Engineering, Maintenance functions and products and services needed to operate ongoing operations for the Wolf facility. 

B. Functional Responsibilities 

1. Develop, implement and maintain preventive/predictive maintenance programs for the Operations plant and equipment.

2. Design and build solutions for problems (reverse back-fold, turnover on Scitex lines, one-step card affixing lines, inserting department sorting devices, etc.)

3. Modify and approve format layouts, working with R&D, estimating and production. Help estimating on determining run speeds on complex formats.

4. Work with all set-up mechanics direct, help and train them as needed with mechanical problems and also provide them with needed equipment (cold/hot glue, multifeeders, streamfeeders and some modular equipment) 

5. Monitor and direct setups and Maintenance

6. Help fix equipment and/or diagnose difficult problems

7. Help support Vision System technicians to keep production lines operating

8. Maintain effective liaison with outside suppliers, vendors, equipment manufacturers and contractors.

9. Develop, fabricate parts, modify and make operational equipment for Industrial Operations.

10. Establish priorities and completion dates for projects.

11. Effectively schedule and man project work to ensure that targeted completion dates are met.

12. Operate within approved budget allocations.

13. Coordinate with Maintenance and Facilities Support Technician to implement and maintain an adequate inventory of parts and material to meet Wolf Operations

14. Maintain a safe and clean work environment in areas of responsibility.

15. Develop and recommend strategies to meet present and future requirements in all areas of responsibility.

16. Ensure that work performed by outside service personnel and machine shops meet the specifications indicated in contract or purchase order.

17. Develop and learn AutoCAD help layout production floor to relocate existing equipment, install new equipment, evacuation routes, fire extinguisher locations, etc.

D. Relationship Responsibilities

2. External relations (special outside liaison): 

§ Suppliers (domestic), vendors, equipment manufacturers and outside machine shops.

Customers, Sales Force, Representatives of Service Providers, other distribution centers. 

Requirements

Qualifications

Education

1. Mechanical, Electrical Engineering Degree or Business Management Degree.

Experience

1. Five to ten years experience in printing plant maintenance and manufacturing.
2. Basic computer knowledge.
3. Outside machining experience.

Skills

1. Must have good interpersonal skills to work with peers in manufacturing, outside contractors and vendors.
2. Should be highly motivated and capable of taking initiative to react to emergencies when called upon.
3. Exceptional organizing skills.
4. Analytical and problem solving ability a prerequisite.
