The Business Intelligence and Financial Management Applications Group in the Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) in the Business Services Directorate at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) is seeking qualified and energetic applicants to lead the technical team to support and transform our Business Intelligence and Analytics areas.

What will you be doing?
The Business Intelligence and Analytics Team Leader (TL) is responsible for direct supervision of the members of the BI team and for assisting the Group Leader (GL) in the technical oversight for BI applications. This role requires considerable use of initiative, independent judgment, and communications.

Major Duties/Responsibilities:
This position will provide technical leadership and managerial support for ORNL’s Business Intelligence and Analytics environments.
Primary duties for this position will include:
- Provide input to the GL for establishing group and team vision.
- Serve as direct supervisor for members of the BI development team.
- Maintain Service Now objects (change requests, stories, epics, projects, incidents, problems, FMARs, BI Service Requests, etc.) in correct and accurate statuses.
- Assign tasks to BI developers based on priority and availability.
- Work with BI developers to design technical solutions per needs, requirements, and timelines through the entire product development life cycle.
- Provide input for planning, cost, and schedule estimates for BI projects. Work with embedded and ITSD project managers.
- Review technical products produced by group members in support of BI applications.
- Perform annual performance reviews for direct reports and 360 assessments for group members that support BI applications.
- Assist GL in identifying new BI staffing requirements, drafting position descriptions, and participating in the interview process.
