Is and expert in assisting Radiologist or Radiology Assistant with invasive and non-invasive procedures in the Interventional Radiology (IR) lab. Able to share call duties and stay late as needed. Assists with scheduling of staff, ordering supplies, assigning daily work. May serve as Lead, when Lead Tech is out.Full Time, Monday - Friday 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm, Call every 4-6 weeks

1. Is an expert and may serve as a Preceptor for staff in assisting the Interventional Radiologist or Radiology Assistant during procedures.
2. May serve as a Preceptor to other team members for questions or concerns related to procedures or other patient care tasks.
3. Is an expert, and may serve as a Preceptor in ensuring the correct patient, diagnosis, and exam and demonstrates correct & acceptable radiographic, positioning, and scrub techniques.
4. Is an expert, and may serve as a Preceptor in explaining exams/procedures to patient and families.
5. May serve as a Preceptor in demonstrating knowledge of all emergency equipment/supplies.
6. Utilizes proper immobilization devices to control patient movement.
7. Raises concerns related to patient care, patient safety or patient satisfaction to Lead or Supervisor.
8. Maintains equipment and requests service as needed.
9. Assists with service recovery, ensuring proactive communication with patients and families
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
