Head of Maintenance

Manages and coordinates activities of workers and venders engaged in maintaining and repairing physical structures of buildings, machines and the grounds of the Russellville location.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Researches and analyzes data such as vendor design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
• Designs products or systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines, and mechanical systems.
• Provides engineering support for facilities systems such as HVAC, Boilers, Water Treatment, Central Hydraulics, Compressed Air, Pump Systems, Natural Gas and Propane by developing preventive maintenance procedures, scheduling repairs, upgrades, and rebuilds.
• Designs and updates facilities and systems documentation including layouts, control specifications, spare parts lists, settings, and work instructions.
• Determines using engineering calculations system requirements, including pump types and sizes, pipe type and sizes, air handling units, ducting, air compressors, and boilers.
• Directs and coordinates fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
• Directs workers engaged in painting and performing repairs to facility structuring and equipment.
• Inspects completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.
• Studies project schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
• Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
• Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
• Maintains time and repair records.
• Confers with other Production Manager to coordinate activities for repair.
• Coordinates all mechanical contractors for special and capital projects.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree from Technical College or University
• Five years minimum Facility Management experience
• Five years minimum Maintenance Management experience
• Three years minimum Supervisory experience
• Proven problem solving ability
• Proven Analytical skills
• SAP Experience required
