HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (CLASSIFICATION/RECRUITMENT)

GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting with human resources (HR) activities in accordance with HR regulations and procedures, i.e. reviewing Requests for Personnel Actions (RPAs) for accuracy and completeness, and assisting HR Specialists with recruitment or processing of RPAs, etc.; 2) Responding to human resources questions, i.e., providing information or status on vacancy announcements or RPAs; and 3) Referencing Human Resources materials such as manuals and regulations to ensure adherence to HR rules and regulations for processing personnel actions. GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying recruitment and placement laws, regulations, policies, and practices to solve recruitment and placement issues; 2) Providing advice to managers on a variety of recruiting authorities to facilitate recruitment; 3) Advising managers and command personnel on the hiring process; and 4) Using electronic personnel databases and systems to retrieve and analyze information.
