The opportunity
The role is for an experienced hands-on and (preferably certified) Business Analyst who has a passion for working directly with clients, business partners and subject matter experts, determining customer needs and providing clearly defined business requirements. As a BA Consultant you will actively engage with the business to create detailed business cases and clear problem-solving statements. We want you to be pro-active, curious, enthusiastic and open to new experiences.
Your key responsibilities
- Design functional specifications of applications to address business and user needs
- Identify internal and external factors which may impact requirements
- Document requirements including customer journey, features, user stories, cross-team dependencies, separating core product build vs. integration features, outlining what is in and out of scope
- Prepare and present a compelling business case for proposed solutions
- Determine objectives, dependencies, resources, timelines, metrics, costs and risks associated with the proposed plans and initiatives
- Help identify problems, opportunities and methods for improving existing business processes and workflows
- Use a variety of business process and workflow design tools and techniques
- Support the evaluation of tradeoffs from the incorporation of different elements into the design and their impact on overall functionality, interoperability, efficiency and costs of the software
- Participate in the development of systems during various stages of the development lifecycle
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
- Experience in process mapping, requirements elicitation and business case formation.
- Ability to be the interface between subject matter experts, business owners and technical experts.
- Strong workshops facilitation skills
- Proven delivery focus – understand what needs to be done and when and can help the Project Manager and Business Owner deliver to this
To qualify for the role you must have
- 6y + professional experience (min. 2 years of experience as Business Analyst)
- Readiness to travel (approx. up to 10% of working time in a year)
- Minimum experience with two (2) Software Development Projects
- Expertise in business case creation and requirements gathering
- Experience in articulating user stories and establishing further directions
- Knowledgeable and practitioner of the SCRUM framework
- Sufficient knowledge to help build and refine consulting frameworks around processes, technology and people to enable clients create enhanced B2C/B2B customer journeys, digital products, applications and touchpoints.
- Proficiency in English (strong C1 level or higher)
- Proficiency in German (strong C1 level or higher)
