Work setup
This position is hybrid, with the option to work three days from home and two days in the office.
Role responsibilities
We are looking for a QA Team Lead who enjoys working in a Scrum-based environment and is open to new challenges. Your main role will be to build and manage a new team, that will deliver solutions for primary and secondary education in the European leading learning company Sanoma Learning.

Your key tasks as a QA Team Lead include:
Recruitment & Onboarding:
Collaborate with HR to identify staffing needs and create job profiles.
Participate in candidate selection, conducting technical interviews, and guiding hiring decisions.
Develop a structured onboarding program, ensuring smooth integration for new team members.
Team Development & Performance:
Identify training needs and coordinate development initiatives.
Set clear goals, conduct performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback.
Support continuous growth and improvement through regular feedback and professional development.
Team Motivation & Support:
Foster a positive, collaborative environment and celebrate team achievements.
Address team concerns, resolve conflicts, and ensure mutual respect within the team.
Stay updated on the latest trends in QA and share knowledge with the team.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure the highest quality standards in the team’s work and provide guidance as needed.
Must-have requirements:
1+ years of experience in leading and managing a team of testers
Deep understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, including both manual and automation testing.
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent.
Proficiency in programming languages – Java and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
Strong experience using testing tools like Selenium, Playwright or Cypress.
Knowledge of traditional software development processes and tools, including Maven/Gradle, Git, JIRA/Confluence, Code Reviews and CI/CD tools.
Experience with test management systems (e.g. TestRail).
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
English proficiency: C1/C2 (both written and spoken communication).
Spanish proficiency: B2/C1 (both written and spoken communication).
