Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company pursuing novel therapeutics for non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), also known as metabolic dysfunction associated steatohepatitis (MASH). Our first therapy, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), was granted accelerated approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of adults with NASH with moderate to advanced liver fibrosis (consistent with stages F2 to F3 fibrosis) and is being studied in a Phase 3 trial for the treatment of NASH with compensated cirrhosis.
Global Operations and Medical Excellence Director

As the Medical Operations Director, you will be a key partner to the VP and Senior Director, Global Operations and Medical Excellence in driving strategic initiatives across Global Medical Affairs. You will lead cross-functional efforts to optimize operations, implement technology solutions, and drive process innovation to enhance Medical Affairs' effectiveness. This role demands a seasoned project leader with a track record of managing high-impact programs in dynamic and matrixed environments.
Position Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional matrix teams, including but not limited to: Medical, Clinical Medicine, Commercial, Field Medical, HEOR, Dx. Strategy, Compliance, Legal, IT and External Vendors, to plan and execute programs, projects, and support activities aligned with business objectives.
Lead and execute multiple programs spanning different Medical functions, which may include medical planning, metrics and KPI development and tracking, Thought Leader engagement strategy and planning, Congress Management, Medical Affairs Leadership Team meeting planning, Medical Product Team meeting planning, Lifecycle Team Management meeting planning, Medical Affairs Communications, Publications management, day-to-day operations, etc.
Developing executive and Board Level presentations to provide updates on Key Medical affairs initiatives on a regular basis.
Preparing and presenting reports and updates to the status of specific initiatives to inform decision making process.
Apply program management best practices in the initiation, planning, execution, control, and closing of projects.
Maintain program-specific timelines and deliverables, including critical program, financial (budgets), and communication milestones.
Responsible for ensuring efficient and effective planning, communications, and meetings, plus leading ad-hoc strategic projects to ensure complete integration of processes and information.
Proactively identify and drive innovative and transformational initiatives of strategic importance to Medical Affairs.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience:
BS/BA in life sciences or related field (advanced degree preferred: MBA, PharmD, PhD).
10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
