M365 / O365 Modern Workplace Engineer (Junior)

ECS is seeking a M365 / O365 Modern Workplace Engineer (Junior) to work in our Fairfax, VA office.
ECS is seeking an experienced Microsoft | Office 365 (M365|O365) Subject Matter Expert (SME) with SharePoint | Teams experience. You will be designing, implementing, and supporting a high profile M365 tenant in GCC High. You will guide governance discussions, gather requirements, conduct analyses, and propose technical solutions to implement, monitor, and maintain long-term compliance with tenant baseline configurations. You should have extensive experience developing enterprise policies for internal and external content sharing and collaboration across all O365 core services (Teams, Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint). You should also have experience working in, and supporting, Cloud infrastructure and Virtual Desktop Environments. Sample duties include, but are not limited to:
- Integrate with and support a team of subject matter experts, in a highly agile environment, to implement best in class multi-Cloud solutions for large DoD program(s).
- Identify enterprise and customer specific issues in Microsoft | Office 365, conduct in-depth diagnostics, and develop innovative solutions to resolve issues.
- Work within a Cloud Engineering team to design, build, implement and maintain Microsoft | Office 365 solutions and new capabilities for our customers.
- Provide user support and conduct user software and hardware training to formulate technology solutions and ensure the effective safeguarding and sharing of enterprise data.
- Develop tools and scripts to automate deployment, troubleshooting, monitoring, and diagnostics activities.
- Coach and mentor new hires, and support training development to improve team capacity and performance.
- Function as a technical escalation point within the team.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must already have an active Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or similar.
- If no Bachelor’s degree, 4 years of additional relevant work experience can be substituted.
- 3+ years' of progressive experience with the supporting Microsoft 365 Application Services:
- Microsoft | Office 365 Admin Application and Services in a Hybrid server environment.
- Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, and OneDrive Administration and policy management
- Understanding of M365|O365 licensing.
- Understanding and ability to implement custom data loss protection (DLP) policies.
- Experience establishing and maintaining O365 Exchange mailboxes, user accounts, distribution groups and providing input on enterprise Exchange policies and procedures.
- OneDrive configuration and administration.
- Create PowerShell scripts.
- Experience supporting mission critical, 24x7 systems.
- Ability to travel (up to 25%) to OCONUS and CONUS locations; may be expected to travel OCONUS multiple times over the lifespan of this effort.
