The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.

Your Responsibilities

 

As a Technical Information Specialist for the Enterprise Technical Information Development (ETID) organization, you will provide technical leadership in the development of publications including operator’s manuals, onscreen help, instructions, repair manuals, and diagnostic manuals for Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG), to deliver effective, high-quality technical information enabling distinctive uptime experience for our customers.  In addition, you will: 

 

  • Collaborate with Aftermarket & Customer Support counterparts to identify key technician diagnostic and repair opportunities for current products
  • Work in partnership with product engineering and customer support engineering to define hardware, software, and technical publication improvements supporting Design for Diagnostics and Diagnose in <1hr. initiatives, increasing dealer technician efficiency and product uptime
  • Support technical information project leader and training development specialist to create and execute a technical information development plan that meets quality, cost, and schedule requirements
  • Lead and support technical publications development activities by identifying, scoping, and assigning work to internal and external content development resources
  • Provide support and guidance to global authoring resources to ensure content is adhering to quality standards
  • Ensure quality technical content by owning and driving content review processes
  • Lead and support technical information innovation special projects, including standards development, supporting continuous improvement and Lifecycle Support

What Skills You Need

 

  • Knowledge in software principles, theory, and practice
  • Experience with design or troubleshooting of components and systems
  • Effective organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience in decision making and driving high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (early morning/evening) when necessary to support global business needs
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 25%

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, agronomy, ag sciences, business, or marketing or equivalent related work experience
