POSITION SUMMARY:
The Principal Enterprise Analyst will be responsible for supporting the existing JDE EnterpriseOne systems as well as developing Custom Applications and interfaces to the EnterpriseOne system to support business requirements. This position requires advanced level knowledge of both technical and functional skills, and requires a high level of customer service to meet user needs in a courteous and timely manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Determine if there are gaps in the standard JDE functionality and suggest alternative options or custom processes to achieve the desired results.
• Act as a technical and functional liaison between clients, customers, and vendors to resolve issues.
• Provide tier 2 support for day-to-day issues related to the JDE environment by diagnose and providing solution(s) to complex issues in a timely manner.
• Remain current with emerging technologies and advancements within existing technologies, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Develop, document and maintain standard operating procedures and production configurations.
• Responsible for the generating and/or reviewing requirement specifications and configuration of JDE E1 application enhancements.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to colleagues as needed.
• Ensure that testing is appropriate and complete, business process procedures are accurate and adhere to all configuration and validation standards.
• Create new functionalities, UBEs, applications, and interfaces as well as support existing enhancements within the JDE platform using JDE OMW development tool set.
• Administrate CNC activities.
• Participate in project planning activities, including defining detailed project tasks.
• Develop data extraction tools to parse and collect relevant information from a variety of sources.
• Participate in other enterprise functions as required.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science.
• Minimum of 8 years of functional experience in the manufacturing, distribution and accounting modules of JDE EnterpriseOne 8.12 system or higher.
• Expert-level knowledge using the EnterpriseOne programming toolset including Forms Design (all or most Form types), Report Design (All Report types), BI Publisher, Table Conversion, JDE C Business Functions/ NER and Z-File Processing.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Extensive knowledge of the biotechnology industry.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain principles.
• Working knowledge of Finance and/or Accounting principles.
• Logical problem solving and demonstrated ability to organize and complete tasks on time.
• Demonstrated ability to define and test reports, interfaces, data conversions, and enhancements.
• Must possess strong knowledge of ERP modules - Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Distribution, Accounting, Inventory, and related table structures.
• Demonstrated ability to map business processes.
• Ability to assess situations and information, think creatively, devise better ways of doing things and/or innovative solutions.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills, as well as the ability to handle complex situations and demonstrate sound judgment and problem solving.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected including the ability to work closely with business and scientific subject matter experts.
• A professional presence and strong interpersonal skills for interacting in a courteous, timely, and diplomatic manner with all levels of employees as well as other parties/stakeholders involved with the company.
• Ability to lead and guide others in meeting department goals.
• Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skill are required.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple and often changing priorities and issues of varying complexity, while meeting time-sensitive deadlines and deliverables.
• Strong SQL knowledge.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the individual is frequently required to sit and stand for long periods. The individual is occasionally required to walk; use hands and fingers to operate, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position is performed in a traditional office environment.
