Workday Absence and Time Tracking Principal Consultant

The Workday Absence and Time Tracking Principal Consultant is a key member of the delivery team, bridging the gap between the business and technical teams by providing complex Workday inter-system solutions. They will guide clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday implementation.
Responsibilities:
Guide clients through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practice, experience, and an understanding of the client’s unique business requirements.
Engage and support the client through all phases of the project, ensuring a smooth transition from legacy systems to the Workday Time Tracking, Absence and Scheduling applications.
Deliver high-quality work product with minimal oversight, while regularly keeping the client, the project team and the Engagement Manager updated on project progress and potential changes.
Willingness to play a functional leadership role on a project, or as a Cognizant or Workday product Partner Lead and/or Delivery Assurance Reviewer.
Leverage hands-on expertise Workday, including loading client data, migrating configuration from tenant to tenant, and configuring business processes and security.
Utilize your technical aptitude to convert and map data sources into data conversion templates.
Act as a mentor to fellow consultants, including providing support for shadow assignments.
Actively participate in internal opportunities to share your skills and learnings with others within the organization.
Additional duties as assigned by manager.
Skills & Requirements:
2-5 years Human Resources, Payroll, or Time Tracking and Absence software experience required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
2+ years of Workday functional implementation experience preferred. Workday TimeTracking and Absence certification is preferred, but not required.
Proven experience gathering business requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines preferred
Experienced with MS Office products; specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Minimal travel required, but must be willing to travel on-site if needed
