The University of Washington Information School is seeking a UW graduate student to provide Research Asisstant (RA) support for Hala Annabi’s Success Enablers that Empower Neurodivergent Technology Professionals project.

We are seeking a graduate student to join our research project which investigates how to more effectively enable the success and advancement of neurodivergent employees in the technology workplace.

We do so by investigating specific success enablers grounded in a strength orientation towards disability and considerate of the unique needs, interests, and strengths of neurodivergent individuals in the context of their work. Success enablers are a broader set of practices and work designs that include accommodations but are not limited to them. Success enablers include both support and, more importantly, changes to the workplace environment.

Our project will improve the technology workplace environment to advance equity for neurodivergent professionals by creating The Neuroinclusive Success Enablers Toolkit. The Toolkit compiles interventions designed to empower neurodivergent employees and build the capacity of their managers, HR professionals, and providers to leverage and normalize success enablers.

The RA will perform some or all of the responsibilities listed below. The position will require approximately 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities may include some or all of the following duties:

• Participation in the research team
• Data collection and analysis
• Reporting results in academic and professional publications
• Other research-related duties as needed

 

Compensation:

This role will pay between approximately $2,984 to $3,865 per month, per the Graduate School's salary schedule.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate student at the University of Washington
• Enrolled in at least 10 credits during Winter 2025
• Responsible, organized, and able to get tasks done on time
