SUPERVISOR: Student Athletics Director

 

SUMMARY: Operate and handle the activities at a designated concession stand at a high school game. Prepare and sell food and drinks, collect money and tender change, and pick up supplies and food items from vendors.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following tasks describe the basic functions of the job. The following frequencies and percentage of time spent are approximations only.

• Take orders for food and beverages and prepare food items, such as sandwiches and hotdogs using appropriate quantities of ingredients. [Daily, 25%]
• Process cash payments and tender change, along with ensuring that all received cash is well-accounted for and stored in a safe area. [Daily, 20%]
• Follow proper sanitation guidelines during food preparation and packing activities. [Daily, 15%]
• Participate in the set-up of concession stands, arrange inventory of supplies and communicate shortages of deficiencies to vendors or suppliers. [Daily, 10%]
• Perform clean-up duties after each shift and ensure that concession stand is sanitized and tidied up for the next attendant
• Welcome guests who approach the concession stand. [Daily, 5%]
• Acquaint customers with prices and packing options and follow instructions regarding portions and packing. [Daily, 5%]
• Perform garnishing duties on salads, sandwiches and wraps according to customers’ requirements and instructions. [Daily, 5%]
• Clean and maintain food preparation equipment such as grills and ovens on a regular basis. [Daily, 5%]
• Ascertain that sandwich wraps and straws are made available before each shift. [Daily, 3%]
• Handle light bookkeeping duties by creating and maintaining reports of cash received against food and beverage items sold as requested. [Daily, 2%]
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. [Daily, 5%]

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with customer service.
• Basic interpersonal skills.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:

All certifications, licenses, and registrations must be valid and unexpired.
